I really did think the zucchini was a goner. The powdery mildew had taken over, the lady beetles were working hard, but the mildew was winning. Sigh. So I cut off all of the powdery leaves, sprayed the lot with a milk treatment (I tried the bicarb treatment, accidentally mixed it at double strength and half fried the plant… I will stick with milk now) anyway I crossed my fingers and hoped it wouldn’t die.
Alas it did not. It has come back!
So I am going to give a little plug to my now most favourite variety of zucchini ‘Fordhook.’ The seeds are available from Eden seeds.
