As you know by this post we are wanting to become self sufficient in food, to start with. The latest newcomer in the food frontier is the Imperial Mandarin tree, dwarf. It will be going into the garden near its later fruiting partner, the Emperor Mandarin, also a dwarf variety.
I am hoping it isn’t too late in the season to plant it, (Actually I am too impatient so I will anyway!) I will put a nice little crude oil cover, ahem *plastic cover* around it to keep it protected from the frost as we live on the edge of a gully so the frost can be a bit vicious.
